She's out of control...

I figured out how to post pictures today (thank you, Steven!). Unfortunately I'm only hampered by the fact that I don't have a lot of pictures loaded on this computer...oh the things I will be able to do once I get home this weekend...so check back often because I'm a huge picture taker and will have lots to share (with my small yet very important following - soon to be large following). I love blogging!

coming out of the dark and into the light

Well, apparently wind of my blog has gotten out to my peers (I was hoping to remain anonymous for a little while longer) and now they are posting my blog address on their blogs...God love 'em!

So anyway, I aspire to have a cult following just like Terry Storch does on his blog at terrystorch. Don't tell anyone that though!

Lots going on around church/work these days...Ed Young talked about CHANGE, CONFLICT, GROWTH at the recent C3 conference...every time there is change, we often experience conflict before growth is able to occur. My hubby and I keep repeating that to ourselves and each other in the midst of our conversations about the changes that are taking place around here. Not sure if that's to make ourselves feel better about the conflict or to remind ourselves that growth is right around the corner. Maybe a little of both?

Must crop, Can't stop, Shannon, and my flower beds

CROPPING - My husband frequently chants this mantra when I pull out all my Creative Memories stuff and sit down (or go somewhere) to scrapbook. But this weekend, my friend Shannon hosted a National Scrapbook Day event at her house. My good friend, Michelle got to go with me. We had a great time together and also got lots of stuff done. I'm actually mostly caught up in my family album and working on 2005 events! It's a far better place than where I was in February this year when I was still working on 2003 events. That's what going on a retreat will do for you! The great thing about going to these events is that I come home more appreciative of my husband because of the time we spent apart.

SHANNON - Anyway, it was a good time to hang out with friends and get some insight into what's going on with each of them. And as always, spending time with Shannon is cool. We have known each other for about 7 years. It all began the day Sherrod tore up her classroom and I went down to commiserate with her because I had been the before too. We became good friends and have maintained that friendship over the years and the travels down separate paths! I'm glad to have Shannon in my list of friends!

MY FLOWER BEDS - Ed and I have wanted to "pretty up" the front of our house for sometime now. We have a flower bed minus the flowers. There is a ton of monkey grass that serves as the border and it's kind of annoying. But we went to the Lowe's up the street and got some dirt, border stones, and some flowers...way too many flowers to be exact...and got started on our flower bed. We spent most of our afternoon off on Friday outside (much to the chagrin of the dogs who were relegated to the kitchen where they could only stare at us from behind the double paned glass). The flower beds turned out just beautiful and we had some leftover flowers that most likely will find themselves planted in pots in the backyard.
