3 years ago...

Three years ago yesterday my sweet Ed asked me out on a date...despite my initial impression of him 5 months earlier (who is this guy with red hair and combat boots?)...I took a chance and got an amazing blessing!! I knew that night - April 12, 2002 - that I felt something for him that I had never felt before. God gave me a cool opportunity to "ponder" like Mary did. 2 weeks later, this awesome guy was telling me he loved me and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me! God is soooooo good to me! We celebrated by going to the Gaylord Hotel and Resort for a nice calming walk around the grounds and a tasty dinner at the Riverwalk Cafe. Tasty food and great atmosphere! We just might go back again for some special occasions.

it's a start

...the wonderful world of blogging...i resisted this for a time (yet enviously looked at other blogs thinking "i can do that!" and now i can't help but jump on the bandwagon... What is this blog about? A little about my work at Uptown...a little about me and what I do...mostly some boring stuff (as a coworker says, "What you ate for breakfast.")...some background: I was hired in Nov 2004 by Fellowship Church to be the preschool director of the new Uptown satellite campus that would be opening in January 2005. I readily agreed knowing that it would be a challenge, but also an awesome opportunity to put my degrees and skills to use again. It's been a wild ride to far, but each day brings new insights into what I'm doing and what God is doing through the campus. But the coolest part is that I get to do something that I love and I'm good at! As well as play with kids while I'm at work! So this will be my spot to mull things over, share ideas, and log the happenings of the Uptown campus through the eyes of the preschool...as well as what I ate for breakfast on the mornings when I write. :D
